Kayla

Hey you. Yes you scrolling on your phone. Thanks for stopping by and welcome to my food diary! I am down 52 pounds and am on the home stretch of my weight loss journey. I’m aiming to lose another 20-25 pounds to then transition into body recomposition while being in a slight caloric surplus to gain muscle.

I started my journey on a low carb/keto diet but since then have transitioned to a more balanced diet focusing on healthy carbs, proteins, fats etc. I typically don’t eat breakfast and fast into lunchtime, but it just depends on the day.

A few things that help me!!

* Don't feel like you have to cut off all of your favorite snacks. Try to find healthier alternatives or recipes. And sometimes it's okay to slightly give into those cravings. If you're tracking your calories, it makes it easier to incorporate those treats into your diet without all the guilt!

* Make snack packs to take on the go! I like to add beef jerky, cheese, nuts, fruit, crackers etc. in a to-go container to have healthier snack options on hand. Having this prepared helps me to not grab the quickest option, which is usually junk food.

* Drink your water. Learning the difference between hunger cues and dehydration has helped me so much. Sometimes we're not hungry but just thirsty. If you're still hungry after drinking water then just eat

* I often take lemon juice and a zero calorie sweetener to make a 0 calorie drink. Sometimes I'd add ice, brew a flavored tea bag, and blend for a delicious treat with virtually no calories.

I absolutely adore this group of women and feel an incredible amount of support to reach my fitness goals. I learn new tips, recipes, and am often laughing at a lot of our messages. Let's continue to reach our goals together!
