I know there and tons of reasons to lose weight and I can name lots. And to be honest, I have not done the best that I know I am capable of this year. I have a 16-year-old little sister that has gained a lot of weight over the past three years. She has been trying to eat right and lose the weight but has tons of challenges with discipline and I know she looks up to me and watches EVERYTHING!! that I do and “EAT” so she slacks and does the same.

She ordered about 6 clothing pieces from Shein, and they arrived yesterday. She tried everything on and could only fit 2 t-shirts out of the entire order, so I encouraged her, and spoke confidence. So, she left my room, took a shower, and broke down in tears. I was heartbroken and felt convicted because my decisions aren’t always the best. I let her have some space then talked to her about remembering moments like this and gave her some hugs and kisses. It took a couple hours, but she eventually got through it.

In that moment, I knew I had to do and be better “consistently” not just for me but for her. She is a wonderful, bright kid inside and out. We talked more after she felt better and came up with some ways to finish the last quarter of the year strong, disciplined, and lighter. I am happy and confident in our journey together and know that we are going to kill it.
